The Sacred Keys to Freedom
By Joe Gregory
Most people when asked what
they want in life respond in terms of freedom, whether that be in the form of
more time, money, purpose or peace of mind. People desire to live life on their
own terms. We all also want to be free from worry, fear and doubt. This country
was founded on the basis of freedom but most people feel constricted in their
life by their fear and doubts, their circumstances and conditions.
So how can one go about
freeing themselves so they can live the life they deserve? All you have to do
is remember the Truth. And you can do this from the comfort of your couch!
Here are the six sacred
keys to freedom. Practice them daily.
- Remember to “Seek ye
first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things
shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
Note
that it says “seek first the Kingdom of God.” It doesn’t say “first”
complete your task list; it doesn’t say “first” get a new job nor does it say
“first” pursue money or happiness. Seek first the Kingdom of God. What does this mean? It means to immerse yourself in the one Power and one Presence of
the Universe; to understand that, as Ernest Holmes said, “there’s a power for
good in the Universe that is greater then I am, and I can use it.” It is to
recognize that the Kingdom of God, this one Power and one Presence, is within
each of us. Take a moment to sit and practice this presence, knowing that God
is always with you. As soon as your eyes open in the morning, bring your
awareness to the presence of God that fills you and surrounds you. And keep
your awareness on this throughout the day by repeating to yourself, “God is
with me always.”
- Remember who you are.
Repeat
after me: “I am a child of God, whole, perfect and complete, just as I am,
right here, right now. As such, I am worthy and deserving of all good.”
This is who you are. You are not your job title, or the roles you play in life.
We are all created in the image and likeness of God, of the essence of God, a
child of God. As such, freedom is your divine birthright as are all the other
qualities that you see in God, such as love, peace, perfect health, joy,
happiness, confidence and abundance. Whenever the enemies of fear (Forgetting Everything’s All Right), doubt or anxiety creep into your
mind, remember who you are.
- Remember who’s your
Source.
Repeat
after me: “God is the Source of my supply.” Ponder this: for the first nine
months after your conception, living in your mother’s womb, everything was
provided for you just perfectly. You didn’t have to do anything, God provided.
Look at nature- everything works perfectly; God provides all that is needed. As
children of God, how could it be any different for all of us? Our supply,
whether in the form of perfect health, relationships, money or anything else,
appears to be limited when the familiar enemies of fear and doubt block our
view of who does the providing. Our supply also appears limited when our ego
has us thinking that we are the source. Remind yourself through out the day
that you are secure as you have a rich, benevolent Power that provides
generously for you now.
- Remember who does the
work.
Repeat
after me: “God, the one Power and one Presence within me, does the work.” How
freeing to know- and what a relief- that I am not the doer, that I don’t need
all the answers. I am free from having to impose my will, at the great expense
of personal energy, on how everything will work out. I relax in the peace of
knowing that everything is working for my highest and best good. Of course it
is- I am a child of God. I suggest appointing God the Senior Partner of all
your affairs. Submit your requests to this reliable Power and let it handle the
details for you knowing all will be done in perfect time. Your role is to
submit the request, believing it is done, and then act on inspired thoughts
that come to you. Isn’t it freeing to know you’ve got a Senior Partner to
handle everything for you!
- Remember what’s possible.
Repeat
after me: “With God, all things are possible.” So what does all leave
out? Nothing. If you first seek the Kingdom of God, remember that you
are a child of God, know that God is your Source and that the Power within does
the work, all is not only possible, but your divine birthright as long
as it is for the highest and best good of all concerned. So what good are you
looking to create in your life? Be clear and specific, hand it over to your
Senior Partner knowing it is done, act on inspired thoughts and allow it to
flow into your life in perfect time. There’s no need to limit yourself as all
things are possible.
- Remember to give thanks.
Often
times in life it is easy to get caught up in what is missing in our life and
what is not working. In order to be free, shift your consciousness to all that
is working in your life and immerse yourself in the tremendous power of
gratitude. Remember that how you feel is your point of attraction to the
Universe. How you feel is your prayer.
If
you feel immense gratitude for all the blessings in your life, you will attract
more things to be grateful for. Well you may say that nothing is working in
your life.
The
fact that these six sacred keys flowed into your life is a good place to start
being thankful. Be grateful that you can read them. Ask, what is working in my
life? What do I have to be thankful for? Start with the small stuff if
necessary. Get in the habit of counting your blessings, not your troubles.
Every day write in a notebook all the things you are grateful for. Feel the gratitude
flowing through you as you write. Then write out all the things you have asked
for, believing you have received them, expressing thanks in advance. Again,
feel the gratitude moving through your consciousness. Add more power to this
exercise by immersing yourself in this feeling of gratitude as you wake in the
morning and as you drift off to sleep at night. We all have so much to be
thankful for. Express it and watch it expand in your life.
The
highest form of gratitude, and the most powerful, is to express thanks for everything in your life, that which you perceive as bad or challenging as well as the
good. There is a gift, a blessing, contained in everything if we will only look
for it. Ask, what could possibly be good about this? What can I learn from
this? By giving thanks for the perceived challenge and digging deep to the
answers of these questions, the gift is revealed. So practice gratitude; feel
blessed and grateful all day long; bless and give thanks for everything and
watch your life transform before your eyes.
The six sacred keys to
freedom:
· Remember to seek first the Kingdom of God
· Remember who you are
· Remember who’s your Source
· Remember who does the work
· Remember what’s possible
· Remember to give thanks
How do I know these are the
sacred keys to freedom? Because they have worked for me. In the last 90 days,
I have lost both my job and my father. By anyone’s definition, these are major
traumatic events in one’s life. I have every reason to feel angry, worried,
upset and fearful. But I don’t. I’ve been positive and peaceful regardless of
these circumstances because I practice the sacred keys everyday. Do I have my
moments? Of course I do. So I go back to step one and remind myself that all is
God, all is well.
So use the sacred keys
daily and watch how quickly your life changes. If you get off track with fear
and worry, love yourself and go immediately to step one. These keys work but
don’t take my word for it, try them yourself. All you have to do is remember and watch yourself go free.
